How We Met…

It was a regular Sunday in the year 2020 when Jesus and Mariana met for the first time at church, in the city of Weston. From the very beginning, they caught each other’s attention and peaked each other’s interest. But Jesus assumed Mariana was married and Mariana thought Jesus was a little weird for wearing so many printed and floral shirts (including one with a bedazzled scorpion on it). And yet as time passed, they both looked for ways to interact more… Mariana’s method was to invite Jesus to the youth group activities and Jesus’ method was to start up conversations and ask for pointers on how to make decent money working Uber Eats (which they were both working at that moment). Jesus Eduardo, could you be any more obvious? At the very beginning, no one could see this working out, not even Mariana herself. As Jesus Eduardo would say… Mariana did not make it easy for him. But God had to do individual work in both of them before they could see the plans god had envisioned for them. After many ups and downs, many serious conversations, a whole lot of prayer, and with the green light of their parents, Jesus and Mariana decided to move forward with their relationship. On February 14, 2022, during a romantic candlelit dinner Jesus asked Mariana to be his girlfriend. A year and 10 months later during another romantic dinner, he asked her to be his wife. (with a beautiful ring, might I add).

If you have known Jesus and Mariana long enough, then you know that this was a god-written story and that it was God who brought them together and it is God who will soon be uniting them as one forever.
